๐๐ฅ On the pitch
Last Friday our U10 hurlers travelled to Maynooth - reports coming back of super skills and team work๐ฅ - well done ๐ On Saturday our U16C St Edwards footballers headed to Kilcock for their shield semi final. Despite a great effort it wasn't our day - as Kilcock won 2-12 to 1-8. A great effort from the team for the autumn season following their win from Div 4๐๐. Our U16G team play their shield quarter final v Sallins next Tuesday - best of luck to the lads๐ค
A great day for our U12 St Edwards footballers on Saturday - our U12A championship team were unlucky to lose narrowly in their shield final. Our U12E team won their final against Maynooth. And our U12 H team have their finals day coming up on 10 October as they play Rathangan, St Laurence's and Naas.
Sunday morning was a wash out for our U7 and U9 hurling teams with the rain not clearing in time for their go games. Our U11s had a great day in Kilmacud though ๐๐
It was back to Kilcock for our U14A hurlers playing St Coca's in their last round game on Sunday morning. A tough game and no better luck for us on Sunday than Saturday ! Despite the loss the team are through to a semi final v Naas on October 11th and our U14D team play St Coca's 2nd team in the shield final - date to be confirmed.
Then it was onto Conleth's (or the sofa as the game was live on Clubber๐บ) - for our Round 3 local derby with Celbridge ! A place in the semi finals up for grabs. It was a tight game throughout, not for the feint hearted with points exchanged at both ends of the pitch all game. Celbridge went ahead by 7 near the end of the game but Patrick brought us back into the game with 2 points and a goal from Martin. A point from Sean brought us back to within one point and we were sure we'd get there ๐ช but Celbridge put a point over and it was all done ! Celbridge head to a semi-final v Maynooth and we head to a relegation semi-final v Confey on the 11th October at 5.30pm in Manguard Park. Great to see lots of scorers with scores for Patrick, Darragh, Seรกn Coulston, Tim, Cillian, Martin and of course Sean Whelan who sits in 3rd place in the top scorers in the Senior Hurling Championship ๐๐
Then during the week, our U12 camogs faced a strong Naas team on Wednesday night under lights at home. They never gave up and we are so proud of them ๐คโค๏ธ๐ and our amazing U9 footballers headed the short distance to Rathcoffey for a midweek game and played brilliantly ๐๐
Thursday we were back on the road to Broadford as our U16 hurlers played their shield semi final against Broadford - they are aiming to hold the world record for the most times two teams can play each other ๐ at least a few home games would help Aido๐ Another night not for the feint hearted - with nothing to split the teams it was tight all the way ! But a Hugh Mangan goal and point in the dying minutes gave the win to Ardclough by 1 point , and we know that on the anniversary of his passing, Noel O'Sullivan was looking down on them very proud of a fine team and a great game of hurling - Ardclough Abรบ ๐ช

Best of luck to Mr Tyrrell , all the teachers who are doing a fab job coaching and most importantly all the players who have already achieved amazing results by getting to a semi final ๐ค๐ค๐ช๐ช๐๐
